About Us
The 'Hazarashen' Armenian Center for Ethnological Studies (HACES) is a non-profit public organization established in 1997 by a group of cultural anthropologists from the Institute of Archaeology and Ethnography of the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia and Yerevan State University. The Center specializes in anthropological (ethnographic) studies of Armenia, neighboring regions, and communities of the Armenian diaspora.
Areas of Operation

Anthropological Research
The research activities of the center primarily focus on the anthropology of memory and crisis, as well as the study of intangible cultural heritage.

Educational Activities
The Center develops and implements educational programs that address issues related to the teaching of memory, history, and cultural heritage.
